marmee, Mi - Actually you are in error. Big does not equate to large tax remissions. Most often the opposite is true. By employing whole departments of accounting types, and remaining cozy with the lawmakers, big corporations pay a lot less than you might imagine. Oregon recently passed a new law to make more corporations pay their "fair share"; one of the largest corporations doing business in Oregon was only complying with the prevailing law when they paid a total of $10.00 (Ten dollars) in taxes. Oh yes! $10.00! What did you pay and how many do you employ, or how great were your sales? See what we mean?
